Small Group: building relationship

Updated: Oct 3, 2021

(Our bible small group, snapshot!)

I believe that "no man an island" and we need to have a community wherever we go. I live in 31st of Union Hills, in Phoenix Arizona and so happened that I have Filipino neighbors that meet up for bible study. I met Ate Marlene 2 1/2 years ago at the same church I went and during service and it happened that I'm ushering that time and its all started that day. You never know, and God always work mysteriously and guess what? we're neighbors. And, she started invited me to her house and she said that she had a bible study group and she invited me to join and said yes, Id love to go. On the other side my husband and I had a bible study group as well. But you can't never go wrong when God gives and open the doors and give Filipina friends. So, once a month we have a monthly bible study, prayers and worship. It really helped me, the support and the prayers especially you just new in the country. Sharing experiences, supporting and being able to share and even speak the same language. And then one day I met up another Filipina at Church who happened our neighbor as well, God is miraculous and great provider and giver. Time flies so quick but we build the relationship, the trust and the friendship and were sisters in Christ.

I love when ate Marlene shared verses in the bible, she is bible believer and she is awesome. Were grateful to God for having her in the group.

(Delicious Filipino foods :)

Yes, we have a lot of foods for our fellowship most of them Filipino food but sometimes it varies and it depends on the mood and the choices.

Today, June 23, 2018 from 5pm to 8pm were grateful for the opportunity that these ladies gathered for worship, prayers and reading the word God.

And I always love this bible verse Jeremiah 29:11" 11For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

And I'm forever grateful and I'm so blessed to have friends and were creating memories

(P.S, we called "Ate" for older that our age or older sister, or older friend)
